On November 4, election day, Brad Paisley will be releasing his new album, ‘Play”. This album is 90% instrumentals and based on his instrumental performance at his last concert, we expect this album to be spectacular! There are a few exceptions to the instrumentals including, ‘Waitin on a Woman’ with Andy Griffith and ‘Start a Band’ with Keith Urban. Adding to that impressive list of co-stars are Buck Owens, Steve Wariner, and B.B. King. With a line-up like this, expect this album mind blowing. We can’t wait to buy it.

Don’t forget to tune in to the CMAs on November 12 to see if Brad wins. He’s nominated for 4 awards.

* Entertainer of the Year
* Male Vocalist of the Year
* Song of the Year - “Letter To Me”
* Music Video of the Year - “Waitin’ On A Woman”

These days, a musician isn’t just a musician. Many are putting their celebrity to good use. Tim McGraw is teaming up with Tom Douglas to write ‘My Little Girl’, with a forward by Faith Hill. Read this from Tim McGraws website:

“As a music superstar, Grammy award winner, movie star, husband and busy father of three daughters, Tim’s first priority has always been his family. It was this sentiment that brought Tim and Tom to write the hit song, My Little Girl. McGraw’s beautifully illustrated book is a delightful reminder that even ordinary days can be spectacular when you spend them with the ones you love.

Dad, his daughter, and their big white dog set out to spend an ordinary but turned extraordinary day together. From dancing by a duck pond to stopping to swinging in a tire swing, these two share lots of laughter and love in their time together. And as the sun sets Dad turns to his little girl and says, “I love you, my little girl.” to then hear her whisper in his ear, “love you more.”

My Little Girl truly celebrates what both Tim and Tom see as the simple moments that really matter and show that even the busiest of dad’s can have adventure time with their kids.

Tim McGraw is dad of three daughters, husband to Faith Hill, Country music superstar, Grammy Winner, American Music Award Winner, People’s Choice Winner, has the highest grossing tour in history (with wife, Faith Hill), and has sold more than 35 million albums. Yet, beneath all the accolades beats the heart of a dad who immensely loves his family. Hometown: Nashville, TN.

Tom Douglas is a singer-songwriter who graduated from Oglethorpe University and received an MBA from Georgia State University. Aside from “My Little Girl,” he is the writer of hits such as “Little Rock” by Collin Raye, “The Gift” by John Brickman, “Love’s the Only House” by Martina McBride, and “Grown Men Don’t Cry” by Tim McGraw. He and his wife have three children and reside in Nashville, TN.”

It’s a duel of the country cross overs. Kid Rock and Jessica Simpson are both promotiing beer. Drinks Americas Holdings Ltd. has teamed up with Kid Rock for an as of yet unannounced beer, but we can’t wait to see the ads. We hope it involves his hit song, ‘All Summer Long’, probably launching just in time for the summer 2009 drinking fest.

Jessica Simpson has been tapped to promote Stampede beer. Based out of Dallas, it is only appropriate that Simpson promote this home-state beer. We have no doubt her ads will be super sexy, channeling her Daisy Duke days. Whose beer will you be drinking?

We were first introduced to the brothers Durant and Pickens Lexington, when they were contestants on CMT’s Can You Duet‘. While they didn’t win, they left an ever lasting impression on us. These hometown boys from Oxford, Mississippi are true southern boys. If you have an affinty for SEC football, be sure to check out their original song, “It’s OK to hate Doyle Jackson“. If you’re ever in the mood for a giggle and some light hearted music, be sure to check out their myspace or youtube page. We look forward to seeing them making it big one day. We think they will spread some Mississippi love all over the country music scene.
