Rodney Atkins spent the first few years of his life in the foster care system until he was welcomed permanently into a home. Now this country singer is using his star power to help others. He has teamed up with Families For All to help promote a joint partnership with Walmart and the National Council For Adoption that will hopefully inspire more Americans to get involved in the foster care system.

We love it when stars give back. Way to go Rodney!

Check out Rodney’s statement below:

Most people know me as a country music artist and songwriter. That’s what I do for a living, because that’s what I love. But let me tell you a thing or two about love.

Brad Paisley just posted a new blog on his website. The title of this particular post is “You’ve Made It When…” In the clip below, you’ll see the N.C. State pep band play Paisley’s hit ‘Online’. Here is what Brad had to say:

“It has been an insane and amazing few weeks for me, thanks in a large part to my fans. And as I look back on the incredible milestones and good fortune over the last month or two, the question I’ve asked myself is, okay, have I finally “made it”? The answer is definitely yes. But not for the reasons you might think. Oh sure, I’ve certainly had plenty of mind blowing experiences, but when do you know you truly, and I mean truly, “made it”?  When is it so undeniable that even your harshest critics would admit that, yes, you’re there.
Roll this clip.

I bet you’ll agree.

BP “

November has been a great month for Brad. Not only did he have the honor of hosting the CMA Awards, but he also received two awards that night and just this week he won an AMA award. Keep up the great work Brad.

It is only fitting that Miley Cyrus would eventually follow in the steps of her father and lean towards country music. Miley tells MTV News, that recording a country album is ’something I would want to do’. She has already teamed up with “Nashville Star” judge Jeffery Steele to record a song for the movie ‘Bolt’. With her dads ‘Achy Breaky’ genes, we have no doubt that she would likely be a star in the country scene. Nashville has proven to be very accepting of cross over artists, Jewel, Jessica Simpson and Darius Rucker to name a few.  The young star has a very bright future ahead of her and we’re looking forward to her leaving Disney roots in her past and invading the Nashville music scene.

What do you think about Miley going country?

It’s official, Julianne Hough will not be returning to ‘Dancing With The Stars’ next season so she can focus on her music full time. We have loved seeing her dance every week, but we think she has got lots of talent so we’re excited to her jump head first into the country scene.

Check out this behind the scenes video of her single “My Hallelujah Song”.

Taylor Swift is really having a great year. Last night, Swift took the stage to perform ‘White Horse’ off her newest album ‘Fearless’ in a breathtaking white beaded gown. We love watching her perform at award shows! So far this year we’ve seen her at the ACM’s singing under a waterfall of water and in a fairtale setting at the CMA’s. We just can’t enough of her. Check out her performance from the AMAs. What do you think?

We watched the American Music Awards tonight and we were so happy to see so many country stars at the show. Taylor Swift, Chuck Wicks, Julianne Hough, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley and Billy Ray to name some. Here is a little round-up of the night for you to enjoy.

•Rascal Flatts won favorite country group for the third year in a row, beating out Brooks and Dunn and Sugarland.

•Country newbie, Julianne Hough presented Soul/R&B album of the year along side Akon.

•Brad Paisley took home the award for favorite male country artist beating out Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney. Paisley was very grateful to win the ‘fan voted’ award: thanking his wife, son and god, and telling the audience he has “always wanted to win an American Music Award”.

…more after the jump.
