Blake Shelton’s newest album “Startin’ Fires” hits stores today and we can’t wait to buy it. He just finished touring with main squeeze Miranda Lambert and included on the album is their duet, ‘Bare Skin Rug’. We loved his last album, ‘Pure BS’ and we expect this one to be just as great.

Our favorite do-gooders in country music are at it again. Rascal Flatts are putting their signed belt buckles and shirt on ebay in an effort to raise money for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. They were honored this year with the Shining Star Award by the Make-A-Wish Foundation for all their charity and leadership work in the country music community. It’s so great to see these stars putting their fame to good use. Check out the belt buckles below and bid for a great cause.

Also, we can’t forget to congratulate the boys on their CMA. Their 5th in Vocal Group of the Year category. We wish they had been up for entertainer of the year too. Hopefully, they’ll be one of the performers next year!

Be sure to tune in to Saturday Night Live on November 22 to watch Tim McGraw lose his SNL virginity. Never before has the singer appeared on the show and he’ll be the first country artist to host since last millennium. It’s unfortunate to think that it’s been over eight years since one of our own have had the honor, but we’re quite confident that McGraw will represent well…

We wonder what song he will be performing…

Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush walked out the Sommet Center tonight with big smiles on their faces. Not only did they win duo of the year for the second year in a row, (they broke Brooks & Dunn’s 14 year win streak - minus one loss in 2001 - last year), Jennifer Nettles also took home the award for Single of the Year for ‘Stay’. If you haven’t heard ‘Stay’ before then you must be living under a rock. It is truly a spectacular song and the video is equally as amazing.

We expect Sugarland to be around for a long time… what did you think of their performance at the CMA Awards?

Want to chat with Taylor Swift? Well guess what… you can!

Log-in to myspace.com/taylorswift tonight at 7pm for your chance to chat with the superstar. She walked away from the CMA Awards empty handed, but the night was still a hit for the young star. She performed her current hit ‘Love Story’ and for the second time this year, she pulled of the whole clothing switch-a-roo and rocked two gorgeous outfits. There are so many things we want to ask her…like who made her CMA Award red carpet dress because we want to get one (or a really good knock-off) for ourselves.

What would you like to ask Taylor?

We were so excited when Lady Antebellum won the Horizon Award (CMA’s New Artist award). Taylor Swift, last years winner, presented to trio with the honor following in the footsteps of Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban. This group has very large shoes to fill and we have no doubt that they are up to the challenge. They performed their Billboard top 20 hit ‘Love Don’t Live Here’ live at the awards. Their second single ‘Lookin’ for a Good Time’ is also a top 20 hit, making them two for two. We can’t wait to see what they come out with next. Definitely keep your eyes out for this group, they’re going to be around for quite some time.

So… what did you think?

We loved it! We were sad to hear the sound quality not quite as good as we would have liked, but still, everyone performed like rockstars.

Here are our thoughts on the evening:

Favorite Moment: Without a doubt, Brad Paisley coming from backstage to give his wife Kimberly and her belly, (she is pregnant with their second child) a kiss before accepting his award for Male Vocalist of the Year.

Favorite Performance: Brad Paisley performing ‘Waitin’ On A Woman’. We wish Andy Griffith had been there to join him on stage.

Favorite Outfit: Taylor Swifts red carpet dress. She took our breath away!

Funniest Moment: Brad Paisley getting dressed on stage after his opening performance with Keith Urban.

Favorite Duet Performance: Brad Paisley and Keith Urban rocked out like champs performing their song ‘Start A band’ We would love to see them in concert together, too bad they are both busy headlining their own tours.

What did you think of the show? Did you like Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood as the hosts? What were you ‘favorites’ of the evening?

This is the most coveted award of all. Two time, reigning winner Kenny Chesney is up for the award, but we think top honors could go to anyone this year.

Who do you think will win?
