Keith Anderson is going under the knife. Sadly, he will have to cancel all is shows in January and February due to vocal cord surgery.

Get well soon Keith!

MINOR SURGERY FOR KEITH ANDERSON

Following doctor’s orders for complete vocal rest, Columbia Nashville recording artist Keith Anderson is canceling his tour dates for the remainder of January and the month of February. Anderson will undergo minor vocal cord surgery at Vanderbilt Medical Center later this month to correct a problem that – while not painful – did necessitate the cancellation of a few dates in 2008.
“I’m grateful to be able to take this time off during the dead of winter, a typically slower time on the touring schedule,” Anderson said. “I certainly look forward to hitting it full throttle in March.”

After much speculation about the name of Keith Urban’s upcoming album, we finally have an answer. It is not ‘Born To Love’ like many us thought. The name of the album is ‘Defying Gravity’. We are already in love with his single ‘Sweet Thing’ and can’t wait to hear the rest of the album.

All the rumors can finally be put to rest, as Keith Urban has given his forthcoming March 31st CD release a name.  “Defying Gravity” will feature Keith’s 18th Top 10 single “Sweet Thing.”

“I’ve always approached making records as a journey where I just have to let myself go,” said Urban.  “If the conditions are just right the music will reflect the mood and feeling of where I am in my life.”

“Defying Gravity comes from the lyrics of a song on the album and it just struck me at the time as a phrase that really defined the joyous, optimistic and uplifting spirit that seemed to show itself while making the album.”

2009 is shaping up to be a busy one for Urban.  This May will mark the launch of his “Escape Together World Tour,” which will visit fifty-eight cities across North America.  Urban will team with a different touring partner in each city, including superstars Sugarland and Taylor Swift, as well as Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, The Zac Brown Band and Dierks Bentley.
