You must check out Gloriana! We were watching CMT this morning and caught their video ‘Wild At Heart’ and it’s awesome. Upbeat, fun and makes you want to get up and dance.

They’ll be joining Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler on tour this summer.

Check out their ‘Wild At Heart’ video below. What do you think?

Martina McBride took a trip to the White House and blogged all about it. She met will.i.am and Stevie Wonder to name a few and Stevie wants to write a song for her. AMAZING!

Hey everybody,
Just got home from Washington.  What a night!!!  Just getting ready to go to the White House was so exciting.  Let me back up and tell you all about the day….
First of all, we went over for a show run-though.  We all had to be at the bus at promptly 1:45.  It was nice to see everybody…most of whom I was meeting for the first time.  On the bus with me was Paul Simon, Diana Krall, Will.i.am, Mary, Mary. We got to the White House and walked in and went to the Green Room, which is in between the East Room where the show was going to be held, and the Blue Room. It’s an historical part of the White House with lots of antiques and such and so they are VERY particular about everything…no sitting on the furniture, no food or beverages, etc.  We did our run-through with the band and I was really happy with my rehearsal.  I really felt like I connected with the song.  We went back to the hotel and started getting ready.  Earl and Mary Beth had flown in to do my hair and make-up.  We had fun getting ready and then it was time to go.
When we got there John and I spent some time talking to Will.I.Am and also Wayne Brady and the girls from Mary Mary (who are SO sweet!).  I also met Paul Simon, India Arie, Diana Krall, and  Esperanza Spalding. Everyone was so nice. I think we were all just so happy and honored to be there.  Before I knew it, it was time for me to sing.  I was pretty nervous.  I don’t think I did as good of a job as I did at rehearsal, but I guess it was ok.  I looked down and saw the President and the First Lady, Vice President Biden and his wife, and then to my right was Stevie Wonder!  Then it was over and I was back in the room with everyone.  Everyone pretty much had the same story….how emotional or surreal it was and how nervous they were.  Then they asked us to come back in the room and watch Stevie perform. So we saw the President give Stevie his award and then Stevie sang 3 or 4 songs and it was amazing.  He was charming and funny sang SO great!  I thought, “here I am, at the White House, listening to Stevie Wonder sing ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ from just across the room”.  Crazy, huh?  After he performed we got to meet the President and First Lady…they are both very tall!  President Obama said that he had gone in yesterday and listened to my rehearsal (my tour manager had told me he was standing right in front of me at rehearsal, but I was focused on singing AND there were lights in my eyes). I told him that someone had told me that and that I didn’t see him there!  I didn’t want him to think I just ignored him!  Then we took a picture and he said he wanted to get in the middle. They were warm and gracious.

Kellie Pickler took to her blog to update us about what’s going on in her life these days. She just finished shooting a video for her song ‘Best Days of Your Life’ and her best friend (Summer) was flown in to be in the video as well.

Kellie also filled us in on her tattoos. She has two star tattoos and explains that each star represents one of the two USO tours shes been on. We told you about Bucky Covington’s USO tour and it seems like going on a tour is really impacting artists in a great way. Keep up the good work.

Hello =)

Wow…it’s been a LONG day! I’m very happy to say that we just finished shooting the new music video for “Best Days of Your Life” and I think it is going to be AmAzing!! I’m so excited that my best friend from home (Summer) got to fly in and be in the video. This is very different than any other music video I’ve ever done before. I don’t want to give away all the surprises cause I want there to be something to look forward to when it debuts. I can’t wait to see the finished project….it should be edited in the next few weeks and ready for the world to see.
Thank you so much for calling radio and requesting the new song!! Taylor and I are so excited about it!! :o)
Speaking of Taylor….I am really looking forward to us touring together. We kick the first “Fearless” show off in April (I’ve posted dates on my myspace and my website: kelliepickler.com) You can also see dates on Taylor’s myspace and her website as well.) She is like a lil sister to me, so I know we are going to have a lot of fun. This is going to be the best summer ever…I hope to see you all at a show!!!
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my recent “star tattoos” so I figured I would go ahead and explain why and what they stand for. Long story short….many of you know that I am involved with the USO and have been on two USO tours overseas to entertain the troops….so I got a star to represent each visit.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I’m on the bus right now…headed down to Florida for a show!! I love it there…I hope it’s sunny!!

xoxo pickler :)

Brook White has been a super busy these days. She has been working on a new album and returned to the Idol stage, this time, to perform one of her own original songs.

If you caught her on Idol tonight, let us know what you thought.

Also, Brookes new website is up. www.brookewhitemusic.net. It’s still a bit of a work in progress, but be sure to check back there for updates.

Current mood:  hopeful

Good morning my fine friends… this is super short, I’ve got a big day ahead, lots to do, but I have so many thoughts and emotions going on right about now…

The last few days have been a whirlwind filled with surprises, and unexpected opportunities presenting themselves in the strangest ways, now I find myself performing back on that daunting idol stage, with a new song up for the world to hear on itunes. It all happened so fast, I suppose the good news is I wont have to brace myself to hear the verdict of the judges. However, this is for real now, I’m singing one of my own songs… I would be lying if I didn’t say that I am feeling a bit vulnerable about this… but it is exciting!

I realize that I’m taking a few risks on this album, trying some new things, that yet feel very familiar (stuff I picked up from listening to great records), working with musicians that are busting my chops and making me work harder. “Hold Up My Heart” is just one of many songs, that has taken a complete life of it’s own, some might consider is ”old school”, not what you’re used to hearing on the radio, but I gotta tell ya it came together so naturally, it just makes me happy. Be prepared to really experience each song as it’s own unique entity and experience, some big, some stripped down and bare. There is a progression, and I know this might be a little different than what you’ve heard from me before. But I promise you this, I’m giving you all I got… ALWAYS:)

It’s scary to wear your heart on the outside, but it’s the only way I know. Thanks for listening AND for sharing your genuine thoughts, really I LOVE the music, but to have people truly connect and love it is certainly the icing on the cake…

Go to my new website www.BrookeWhiteMusic.Net (THE OFFICIAL SITE) and sign up on my new mailing list, it’s just a holding page for now while it’s under construction. And as I mentioned “Hold Up My Heart” is up on itunes as we speak… Oh and when you listen to it, don’t forget to crank up the volume:)

Gotta get back to work, thanks again for being such amazing fans:) This is for you…

PS… See ya through the TV tonight:)
