Lady Antebellems‘ Charles Kelley teamed up with his brothers, John and fellow musician Josh (Katherine Heigls husband) to raise money for the Heart and Vascular Institure at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. The boys, who were raised in Augusta, have close ties to the school. Their father, Dr. John Kelley was one of the founding physicians.

(RED)WIRE is a new feature from (PRODUCT)RED that benefits ‘The Global Fund‘. It allows you to get great music from some of the worlds greatest artists. There is a new music player called (RED)WIRE player that you load in iTunes and every week you can get new music from Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Faith Hill and more. To join, you spend $5 a month, half of which goes to purchasing medicine for HIV patients in Africa.

You can try (RED)WIRE free for two weeks, but we think you should go ahead and spend the $5. This program launched on December 1, World WIDS Day.

Rodney Atkins spent the first few years of his life in the foster care system until he was welcomed permanently into a home. Now this country singer is using his star power to help others. He has teamed up with Families For All to help promote a joint partnership with Walmart and the National Council For Adoption that will hopefully inspire more Americans to get involved in the foster care system.

We love it when stars give back. Way to go Rodney!

Check out Rodney’s statement below:

Our favorite do-gooders in country music are at it again. Rascal Flatts are putting their signed belt buckles and shirt on ebay in an effort to raise money for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. They were honored this year with the Shining Star Award by the Make-A-Wish Foundation for all their charity and leadership work in the country music community. It’s so great to see these stars putting their fame to good use. Check out the belt buckles below and bid for a great cause.

Also, we can’t forget to congratulate the boys on their CMA. Their 5th in Vocal Group of the Year category. We wish they had been up for entertainer of the year too. Hopefully, they’ll be one of the performers next year!
