So, clearly I’m not on the bandwagon. It seems that getting your favorite country artists name tattooed onto your body is the ‘it’ think to do these days. We told you about a girl who had Kellie Picklers autograph tattooed on to her arm and now we have a young man who tattooed ‘Kenny Chesney’ onto his back.

We saw this over on CMIL and were so excited! Kenny Chesney will be performing in Tuscaloosa, AL this Saturday on what is called his “Keg in the Closet” tour. These shows are at smaller venues where Kenny and his crew get a chance to have an intimate show with the fans.

Kenny Chesney may be reining entertainer of the year and selling out shows definitely isn’t a problem for the star, but Chesney is treating is Detroit fans to a special ticket price for the ‘working people section’. “I’ve gotta lotta friends who live in and around Detroit. You know, you hear how rough it is with factories closing down” Kenny says on his website. “I don’t have any answers, beyond taking people away from the troubles for a few hours…and that’s what I can do, and I wanna make sure the people who need to come out the most can do it”.
The show will be held at Detroit Lions Ford Field on August 22 and for the past three years, Chesney has sold out the venue.

Rumors are flying that Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert will be opening for Kenny Chesney during his 2009 tour. Also, joining Kenny is rumored to be Sugarland and Montgomery Gentry. We’ve seen Kenny perform before and loved it. This is a ridiculous line-up! We’re holding out for the official announcement. Keep your fingers crossed.
