Miley Cyrus was on Good Morning America this morning promoting her movie that is being released this Friday. Apparently, her phone alarm went off right before the live segment and Mileys response…
“it’s early in LA, sometimes I get up to read my bible.”
I was watching CMT top 20 countdown this morning and Miley Cyrus ‘The Climb’ was number 19. I can’t decide if I’m surprised or not. She’s got country in the blood. Check out the video below…
We knew this was going to happen sooner or later. We saw this over on NashvilleGab and to be honest, we think Miley should go country, it’s in her blood.
Miley is releasing this song to country radio on February 23. What do you think?
So we told you earlier that LeAnn Rimes is hosting the Colgate Country Showdown this Thursday night. We admit we have never heard of this event and decided to do some research. We struck a little youtube gold.
A little background on the Showdown. It is a contest designed to give promising country stars an opportunity to make it big. Starting with 450 local contests and with winners advancing to state competitions and then regional contests and the final step, performing live at the Ryman. The winner walks away for $100,000 and hopefully shortly thereafter, a music contract.
Anywho, we found this video of Billy Ray Cyrus performing alongside his daughter Miley. We don’t know the exact date, but we assume 5-ish years ago. Check it out!
Whether or not you want to admin it, it is likely that Miley Cyrus will cross-over to country music in the coming months/years so you better start to embrace the young star. She took the stage this year at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to sing a song from the movie ‘Bolt’ which she lent her voice to. You have to admit, the girl definitely has country-star power.
It is only fitting that Miley Cyrus would eventually follow in the steps of her father and lean towards country music. Miley tells MTV News, that recording a country album is ’something I would want to do’. She has already teamed up with “Nashville Star” judge Jeffery Steele to record a song for the movie ‘Bolt’. With her dads ‘Achy Breaky’ genes, we have no doubt that she would likely be a star in the country scene. Nashville has proven to be very accepting of cross over artists, Jewel, Jessica Simpson and Darius Rucker to name a few. The young star has a very bright future ahead of her and we’re looking forward to her leaving Disney roots in her past and invading the Nashville music scene.
